If you’d like members to watch a 3rd party video as part of their compliance process, you can create a Custom Video Requirement directly in your Requirement Library. Follow the steps below to set it up properly.
How to Create a Custom Video Requirement
Go to Requirement Library
Click Add New Requirement
Select Custom Video (click the + sign)
Complete the required fields:
Requirement Name
Expiration Settings
Additional Instructions
Video URL
Custom Opt-In Language
Setting the Custom Opt-In Language
The Custom Opt-In Language is additional confirmation text you want users to see before completing the requirement.
By default, users will see:
“Please confirm you completed this requirement.”
When a member returns to their profile in Ankored, they’ll be prompted to select Cancel or I Accept.
Adding Custom Opt-In Language allows you to include a specific acknowledgment statement. For example:
“I confirm I have watched this video in its entirety.”
What the Member Sees
The video opens in the standard lightbox experience.
After watching, the member will see:
The default confirmation message.
Your custom opt-in language (if added).
They can then choose:
Cancel
I Accept
Clicking I Accept confirms they have watched the video and marks the requirement as complete.
Assign the Requirement to Groups & Roles
Select the Roles you want this requirement assigned to. You can choose whether the requirement is Required or Optional, and specify which roles within each program should receive it.
If you’d like the requirement to apply across all Roles and Programs, simply select Assign to All Descending Groups.
What Happens Next?
Members who hold the selected Role within the chosen Program(s) will receive an email notification letting them know a new requirement has been added to their profile.
They’ll be prompted to log in to Ankored to complete it.
