SafeSport is required for everyone age 18 and older in your program, including coaches, staff, and players who are 18+.
SafeSport training is completed on an external site, so it is not built directly into Ankored. You finish the course on the SafeSport website, download your certificate, and upload it into Ankored, where an administrator reviews and approves it. Once approved, your SafeSport requirement is marked complete.
The process at a glance:
1. Complete the training on the SafeSport site.
2. Download your certificate as a PDF.
3. Upload it to Ankored for review.
4. An administrator approves it and you are cleared.
Before you start
Use the SafeSport link below so your training is tied to the correct organization.
The name on your certificate must exactly match the name on your profile. A name mismatch is the most common reason an upload is rejected.
Your certificate is valid for 365 days from the completion date and should be valid throughout the Elite Academy Season, through July 1, 2027 . Plan to renew before it expires.
Save your certificate as a PDF, PNG, or JPEG. Those are the only file types accepted.

PART 1 — COMPLETE YOUR SAFESPORT TRAINING
1. Open the SafeSport link.
Go to the link above. Using this link ensures your completion is credited to your organization.
2. Create your account.
Fill out the Sign Up form, then log in. Enter your name exactly as it appears in your profile, because your certificate is issued with the name on your SafeSport account.
3. Find your course.
Click the Menu icon in the top right, then select Catalog. Look for the "SafeSport Trained" course listed under your organization.
4. Start and complete the training.
Click Start and work through the course. You can complete a first-time course or the applicable refresher (see accepted types below).
5. Download your certificate.
When finished, open Menu again and select Transcript. Under Certificates, click Download to save the PDF to your device.
PART 2 — UPLOAD YOUR CERTIFICATE
1. Go to your SafeSport requirement.
Log in at app.ankored.com and open the SafeSport requirement on your profile. 2. Click Upload.
3. Enter your completion date.
In the "Originally Completed On Date" field, enter the completion date shown on your certificate.
4. Attach your certificate.
Click Browse and select your downloaded certificate. Accepted file types are PDF, PNG, and JPEG.
5. Click Upload.
What happens next
Incomplete → Pending Review → Approved
After you upload, your status changes to Pending Review. An administrator reviews the certificate and approves it, and you receive an email notification once it is done. When approved, your SafeSport requirement is marked complete.

Avoid a rejected upload
The name on your certificate does not match your profile name.
The file is not a PDF, PNG, or JPEG.
The certificate is not one of the accepted training types above, or is missing its certificate ID number.
The certificate was uploaded to the wrong requirement or section.
