SafeSport training is completed on an external site and is not built directly into Ankored. You finish the course on the SafeSport training site, download your certificate, and upload it to Ankored.
Is your requirement verified through U.S. Soccer? If your requirement shows USSF ID Required, Waiting on USSF License, or a View Licenses button, you do not upload a certificate. Follow the U.S. Soccer Learning Center Requirements in Ankored guide instead.
The process at a glance
Complete the training on the SafeSport training site.
Download your certificate.
Upload it to Ankored for review.
An administrator approves it and your requirement is marked complete.
Before you start
Use your exact name. The name on your certificate must match the name on your Ankored profile. A name mismatch is the most common reason an upload is rejected.
Check how long your certificate is valid. Your organization sets the validity period, usually 365 to 730 days from the completion date. Plan to renew before it expires.
Save it in an accepted format. PDF, PNG, or JPEG only.
Part 1: Complete your SafeSport training
Open the training link from your organization.
Create your account. Fill out the Sign Up form, then log in. Enter your name exactly as it appears in your Ankored profile, because your certificate is issued with the name on your SafeSport account.
Find your course. Click the Menu icon in the top right, then select Catalog. Look for "SafeSport Trained" listed under your organization.
Start and complete the training. Click Start and work through the course. If you have completed SafeSport before, you may be offered a refresher course instead.
Download your certificate. When you finish, open Menu again and select Transcript. Under Certificates, click Download to save it to your device.
Part 2: Upload your certificate to Ankored
Log in at app.ankored.com and open the SafeSport requirement on your profile.
Click Upload.
In the Originally Completed On Date field, enter the completion date shown on your certificate.
Click Browse and select your downloaded certificate.
Click Upload.
What happens next
Your status changes from Incomplete to Pending Review. An administrator reviews your certificate, and you receive an email once it is approved. When approved, your SafeSport requirement is marked complete.
Certificates must be uploaded before the expiration deadline to be accepted.
Accepted training types
SafeSport Trained
Refresher 1: Recognizing and Reporting Misconduct
Refresher 2: Preventing Misconduct
Refresher 3: Creating a Positive Sport Environment
Abuse Prevention for Adult Athletes
Avoid a rejected upload
Uploads are usually rejected for one of these reasons:
The name on the certificate does not match your Ankored profile name.
The file is not a PDF, PNG, or JPEG.
The certificate is not one of the accepted training types above.
The certificate is missing its unique certificate ID number.
The certificate was uploaded to the wrong requirement, for example an ImPACT certificate uploaded to the SafeSport requirement.
If your upload is rejected, check the email explaining why, fix the issue, and upload again.
