Ankored Training Courses You Can Assign to Your Coaches

The youth sports training courses available in Ankored's course library, what each one covers, and how to assign them to your coaches.

Ankored has a library of youth sports training courses built for coaches. You can assign any of these courses to your coaches as a requirement, and they complete the training right in their Ankored profile. Their status updates automatically as soon as they finish, so there's no certificate for your team to review.

Available courses

Abuse Prevention Training

Formerly known as The Trusted Coach. Intro plus 5 modules, about 40 minutes.

Covers a coach's outsized influence on athletes and how everyday behaviors build or erode trust, the boundaries and communication standards that protect both athletes and coaches, the coach's role in team culture and preventing peer-to-peer harm, and how to recognize red flags and meet reporting obligations. The course closes with five guided real-world scenarios.

Wondering whether this course can be used in place of SafeSport for your organization? See Ankored's Abuse Prevention Training, SafeSport, and Reusing Certificates.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training

Intro plus 4 modules, about 6 minutes.

Covers how to recognize sudden cardiac arrest and tell it apart from other events, the exact response sequence (starting chest compressions and directing specific people to call 911 and bring the AED), everyday behaviors that reduce risk, and how to lead the team calmly afterward.

Heat Acclimatization and Hydration for Coaches

Opening plus 6 modules, about 20 minutes.

Covers treating heat as a training load that the body needs 7 to 14 days to adapt to, building acclimatization into early-season and post-break practice plans, teaching athletes hydration rules and the urine-color check, spotting the early warning signs of heat illness, and the five-step "cool first, transport second" response.

Leading Through Parent Partnership

5 modules, about 30 minutes.

Covers aligning parents around safety, preventing coach burnout through structure and pre-season expectations, leading high-tension conversations calmly, holding safety and program standards under pressure, and knowing when and how to escalate concerns.

How to assign a course to your coaches

Each course is assigned like any other requirement in Ankored.

  1. Email [email protected] and let us know which courses you'd like to add to your account.

  2. Once a course is in your Requirement Library, assign it to the roles and programs that need it, such as Head Coach and Assistant Coach.

  3. Choose how often coaches need to retake it, such as once per year. See Understanding Requirement Expiration Options.

To change who a course is assigned to, or when it expires, see How to Edit a Requirement.

Good to know

  • Completion is tracked automatically. When a coach finishes a course, their requirement shows as Completed. There's nothing for your team to approve.

  • Coaches can pick up where they left off. If a coach starts a course and comes back later, their progress is saved.

  • Course availability depends on your package. If you're not sure which courses are included for your organization, contact [email protected].

  • More courses are on the way. We're continuing to add new courses to the library. We'll let you know as they become available.
