Understanding the Active and Inactive Membership

Learn how to set Members Inactive

Updated over a week ago

What does "Inactive" mean?

The Inactive feature allows the Organization Admins to temporarily deactivate Ankored member profiles. When a profile is set to Inactive:

  • The member cannot access their Ankored profile until they are reactive by Org Admin or Ankored Support

  • They do not receive compliance notifications

Why use the Inactive feature?

  • Manage your organization's Ankored users more effectively

  • Temporarily remove members not currently participating

  • Maintain ability to quickly reactivate profiles in the future

What happens when their profile is set to Inactive?

  • They can Login but they will see a message that their profile is set to an Inactive state and to contact [email protected]

  • They won't be able to complete requirements

  • They won't receive compliance notifications for that profile

  • If you have other active profiles, you can still access those normally

How do I set a user back to Active?

Click the 3 dots on their profile and select Active. You can also select multiple users at a time.

Will the member be notified when their profile is reactivated?

Yes, the member will receive a notification as soon as your Org Admin reactivates their profile. They will regain full access and compliance notifications will resume.

What if the member has multiple roles in Ankored?

The specific role that you select will go to inactive, if they have another role you’ll need to also set that to inactive
