Some organizations ask members to pay for their own compliance requirements, such as a background check or training. If your organization does this, you'll see a payment screen in Ankored before you can start. This article explains what you're paying for and what to expect.
Not seeing a payment screen? Then your organization is paying for your requirements, and you don't need to do anything. Whether you pay is set by your organization, not by Ankored.
Why Am I Being Asked to Pay?
Your organization decides whether members pay for themselves. Often this depends on your role. For example, an organization might pay for its staff while asking volunteers to cover their own costs. If you think you shouldn't have to pay, check with your organization's administrator before paying.
How to Pay
Log in to Ankored. If payment is required, you'll see the payment screen before you can start your requirements.
Review what's included and the total.
Enter your card details and submit. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, so Ankored never stores your full card number.
After payment, you'll go straight to your requirements and can start them right away.
The total you see on the payment screen is the amount you'll be charged. There are no hidden fees added at checkout.
What You're Paying For
Depending on your organization's setup, your payment can include:
Annual access: one payment covers your requirements in Ankored for up to a year.
Add-on services: some requirements, such as a background check, Live Scan fingerprinting or certain training, are priced separately. The payment screen lists what each one costs.
If your annual access and an add-on are both due at the same time, you pay for them together on one form.
Will I Have to Pay Again?
Annual access is paid once a year if you're still active with your organization when it renews.
Add-on services are only charged again when that requirement actually expires. For example, if your background check is valid for two years, you won't be charged for it again at your annual renewal while it's still valid. Because of this, you may occasionally see a charge for just one add-on between annual renewals.
New requirements: if your organization assigns you a new requirement that needs payment, you'll see the payment screen the next time you open your requirements.
More than one program: if you're in several programs with the same organization under the same email address, you don't pay separately for each one.
Getting a Receipt
You're charged directly by Ankored, and a receipt is sent to you by email through our payment provider, Stripe. If you can't find it, check your spam or junk folder.
If you need a copy of a receipt, email [email protected] from the email address on your Ankored account. Include a short description of what you need. We usually reply within one business day.
Common Questions
My payment didn't go through. What should I do?
Check that your card details are correct and that your card allows online payments, then try again. If it still fails, try a different card or contact support through the chat.
I paid, but my requirements still show the payment screen.
Refresh the page or log out and back in. If you still see the payment screen, contact support through the chat before paying again, so you aren't charged twice.
Do I pay court or county fees for my background check?
No. Some courts charge fees to access records during a background check. These are always billed to your organization, not to you.
Can I get a refund?
Contact [email protected] with your name, organization and the date of the charge, and we'll look into it.
