LiveScan fingerprinting: reviewing and recording results (for admins)

What the Incomplete, Pending, and Approved or Rejected LiveScan statuses mean, and how admins record results in Ankored.

When your members complete LiveScan fingerprinting, their requirement moves through three statuses in Ankored. Here's what each one means and when it's your turn to act.

Incomplete

The member has not completed LiveScan yet. Nothing for you to do here. Ankored keeps sending them reminders, just like any other requirement.

Pending

The member went in person and completed fingerprinting. Ankored moves them to Pending after their appointment. The state is now processing their results and sends them directly to your organization's Custodian of Records, usually within 24 to 72 hours.

Approved or Rejected

Once you have the results, review them in your state's external admin portal. Then go back to Ankored and select the matching result for that member: Approved or Rejected. These are the only two options.

Good to know

  • State results are not stored in Ankored. You'll review them in your state portal and record the result in Ankored.

  • Ankored doesn't approve or reject anyone. Your organization makes that decision.

  • Members must use the same email on the Biometrics4All scheduling page as their Ankored account. If a member is fingerprinted but still shows Incomplete, a different email is the most likely reason.
