Continuous Sex Offender Search regularly checks your members against sex offender registries. When Ankored identifies a potential match, it is flagged for an admin to review.
A flagged result is not a confirmed match. It means Ankored found a possible match that needs a person to verify it. Do not jump to conclusions. Carefully review the information in front of you and make an informed decision based on the facts.
Recommended: add the Profile Headshot requirement
Many potential matches come down to a common name. A verified photo makes these much faster to resolve. Admins can add a Profile Headshot requirement from the Requirement Library and assign it like any other requirement.
Members upload a headshot, and Ankored confirms it shows one clear face. Logos and unusable photos are rejected at upload, so the member can fix it right away.
Parents and guardians can complete the headshot for their child's profile.
The headshot appears in the review panel, right next to the potential match.
Some legitimate photos may not pass the face check, for example because of head coverings or lighting. If that happens, an admin can mark the headshot requirement complete manually.
A member's existing profile photo does not count toward the headshot requirement, and the headshot does not replace their profile photo.
Headshots are deleted when a member is removed from your organization.
Step 1: Find your pending reviews
Log in to Ankored at https://app.ankored.com/.
If you have potential matches to review, a notification appears when you log in. Select Review Now. You can also click the bell icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
Either option takes you to the Review Requirements page, which lists every potential match awaiting your decision on the Awaiting Review tab. Continuous Sex Offender Search results show Potential Match in the Reason column.
Step 2: Review the potential match
Select Review next to a potential match to open its details. Your member's information appears on the left, and the potential match from the sex offender registry appears on the right. This includes the requirement name, the reason for review (Potential Match), and the member's name, email, role, group, and date of birth. If the member has completed the Profile Headshot requirement, their headshot appears here too.
Compare the two carefully. Look at:
Full name, including middle name or initial
Date of birth
Physical descriptors
Location and address history
Photo, if available
Any other identifying information
If there is no photo to compare, ask the member to complete the Profile Headshot requirement.
Step 3: Choose a decision
Once you have reviewed the details, choose one of three options:
Clear: the potential match is not your member. Their requirement is cleared.
Follow-up Required: you are not certain yet. Use this when a match is not absolutely certain and you may not have enough information to clear it, for example if a date of birth is missing. The case stays open in your queue. We recommend asking the member for additional information or running a background check.
Remove: you have confirmed the potential match is your member. This removes the member from your organization. Before the removal goes through, you will be asked to check a box acknowledging that all due process required by your state laws has been followed. Then select Confirm Remove.
Step 4: After you decide
Every decision is logged on the Recently Reviewed tab of the Review Requirements page, including the outcome and who reviewed it.
Members you Clear show as cleared for this requirement.
Members marked Follow-up Required stay in your queue until you make a final decision.
Members you Remove are removed from your organization.
Repeat matches
If a potential match for a member has already been reviewed, and the member's core details have not changed, Ankored automatically clears it as a repeat. You will not have to review the same match again.
