Ankored supports admin-only requirements — a way to ensure that certain sensitive requirements can only be marked complete by an administrator, not by the end user.
What Are Admin-Only Requirements?
Some requirements should never be self-attested. Admin-only completion lets you configure a requirement so that only Admin and Director roles can mark it complete. End users still see the requirement on their profile, but they cannot complete it themselves.
Common use cases include:
CORI/SORI clearances — submitting an authorization form doesn't mean the clearance came back clear. Admin-only completion ensures "Complete" reflects the actual adjudication result.
Pennsylvania Clearances — same principle: an admin confirms the clearance before the requirement is marked done.
In-person clinics or training sessions — attendance can only be confirmed by staff, not self-reported by the participant.
Any final review or approval step that requires administrator verification.
How It Works
For your members
The requirement appears on their profile with a note explaining that an administrator will complete it on their behalf.
They see no action buttons — there's nothing for them to do.
The requirement is excluded from their missing-requirements reminder emails, so they aren't nudged about a step they can't act on.
Any URL associated with the requirement remains visible to the member.
For admins
Admins see a Mark Complete button with date selection on the member's requirement.
Admins can also use the standard upload flow, which still routes through the review queue.
Reporting, incomplete counters, and overall compliance status continue to reflect the requirement as missing until an admin marks it done — so your compliance picture stays accurate.
How to Set It Up
When creating or editing a requirement in your Ankored admin portal, you'll find an Admin Only Completion toggle in the requirement configuration section. It's off by default — simply switch it on for any requirement that should be restricted to admin completion.
Note: Existing requirements are not affected unless you explicitly enable the toggle on them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can members still see admin-only requirements?
Yes. Members always have visibility into the requirement and its status — they just can't complete it themselves. This keeps them informed about where they stand without creating compliance gaps.
Do admin-only requirements count toward compliance?
Yes. The requirement counts as missing in reports and compliance status until an admin marks it complete, just like any other requirement.
Which roles can complete an admin-only requirement?
Only Admin roles can mark these requirements complete.
Will members get reminder emails about these requirements?
No. Since there's nothing for the member to do, admin-only requirements are excluded from missing-requirements emails.
